Doesn't work. We first tried regular books to hold down the towers... but couldn't get the string tight enough for the cars to make it even half way across. Next moved on to my wife's college nursing books... with 3 on each tower the cars still wouldn't finish even with the hardest pull. The car would just crash on the farthest tower. Moved on from books to taping the towers to the floor to see if we could tighten the string even tighter. Still could not make it down the ramp on the far tower.
